Moldova (bbabo.net) - EU Ambassador to Moldova Janis Mazeix expressed "admiration for the Moldovan people reacted to the flow of refugees from Ukraine." "It's amazing how we managed to organize centers for collecting donations and distribute essential items to those who need them so much now. Again I hear about ordinary Moldovan families who opened their doors to receive their Ukrainian neighbors, strangers in such a difficult time" - admitted the diplomat.

He also welcomed the prompt actions of the Moldovan authorities in support of Ukraine through the facilitated entry system and humanitarian support.

"I know that it is difficult, but it is admirable how quickly the necessary support mechanisms were created. And no less impressive is the fact that Moldovan politicians have united in resolving this crisis," the EU Ambassador wrote, appreciating the coloring of the building of the former hotel in Chisinau Ukrainian flag.

He thanked the citizens of the Republic of Moldova "from the bottom of his heart for the fact that they are really friends helping those who are in need."

"The European Union welcomes your collective efforts and will support Moldova's actions to provide assistance to refugees from Ukraine," the diplomat assured.
