Jews and Muslims united to fight Islamophobia and anti-Semitism

Students from five Jewish and Muslim schools came together for a seminar where they learned how to survive in a society where Islamophobia and anti-Semitism are becoming the norm. It was the first event of its kind in the United Kingdom. Schoolchildren received both factual information about these phenomena and practical advice, Jewish News reports.

The event was organized by the UK Chief Rabbi's Office and Naz Muslim Heritage Foundation. Both organizations are taking steps to bring Jews and Muslims together in the United Kingdom.

“Religious communities constantly show hatred towards each other and foment conflicts. It is critically important for young people not to fall for these provocations,” said Naz Haris Bohari, founder of the Heritage Foundation.

"This is not just an opportunity for Jews and Muslims to spend a peaceful day together, this is an opportunity to reflect on their life experiences, share them and jointly find effective solutions to our common problems," the Chief Rabbi said.
