Turkish merchant ships cannot return to their homeland from the south of Russia

Russia and the CIS (bbabo.net) - Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar discussed with his Russian counterpart Sergei Shoigu the prospect of returning home Turkish merchant ships that were near the special operation zone in Russian ports.

During a telephone conversation, Shoigu assured Akar that the current "negotiations with Ukraine will make a significant contribution to establishing peace, stability and improving the humanitarian situation, after which it will be possible to make a concrete decision."

Akar expressed his expectation that the Turkish ships, which are in Russian ports in the south of the country, will return home as soon as possible.

He welcomed the efforts of the parties to create humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of civilians and once again offered his country's assistance in resolving the conflict, reports the Daily Sabah.
