Sacred sites in Saudi Arabia no longer ask for vaccination certificates

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has said that believers no longer need to show coronavirus vaccination certificates when visiting the Sacred Mosque of Mecca and the Prophet's Mosque in Medina.

Foreign pilgrims will no longer have to confirm their vaccination against covid in order to perform Umrah, according to bbabo.net, citing The National News.

The number of places booked for the small pilgrimage will increase significantly as a result.

"I'm so happy! I am in a hurry to book a Saudi visa and do Umrah in Ramadan, and I am very happy that we no longer need to go through the process of passing the PCR,” Yassin Khan, a Briton who lives in Dubai, shared his joy.

In addition, pilgrims are no longer required to quarantine after arriving in Saudi Arabia.
