Tatarstan refuses mandatory vaccination against covid

Russia and the CIS (bbabo.net) - Vaccination against covid will no longer be mandatory in Tatarstan. The corresponding decree was signed by the chief sanitary doctor of the republic, Marina Patyashina, according to the message of Rospotrebnadzor in the Republic of Tatarstan.

As noted in the document, the abolition of compulsory vaccination is dictated by more than 80% immunization coverage of that part of the population of the republic, which was prescribed vaccination.

Earlier, it was reported that most of the existing covid restrictions were lifted in the region against the backdrop of an improvement in the epidemiological situation in the country as a whole.

Mandatory vaccination against covid was introduced in Tatarstan in October last year. It applied to citizens over 60 years old, doctors, teachers and social workers, employees of the energy sector, transport, construction enterprises, agriculture, law enforcement officers, state and municipal employees, as well as workers in the service sector, museums and other cultural institutions, the tourism sector, workers car services, delivery.
