Vladimir Khokhlov, press secretary of the Russian Embassy in Switzerland, said that the extradition of Russian businessman Vladislav Klyushin by the country to the United States is another episode of the "hunt" for Russians. He told TASS about this.

“We are forced to state that we are dealing with yet another episode of Washington's ongoing“ hunt ”for Russian citizens in third countries,” he said.

Khokhlov added that he was "deeply disappointed" by the hasty extradition of Klyushin.

Earlier, Russian businessman Vladislav Klyushin was extradited from Switzerland to the United States of America.

The Swiss court dismissed the appeal of Klyushin's lawyers against the decision to extradite him to the United States. The press service of the court noted that these decisions cannot be appealed.

Prior to this, Klyushin was arrested at the request of the United States. The businessman was detained in the Valais canton on March 21, 2021 and placed under extradition arrest. During interrogation, the Russian stated that he was against extradition to the United States.

On April 19, 2021, the American Embassy in Bern formally requested the extradition of Klyushin on the basis of a bilateral extradition treaty between Switzerland and the United States.
