Russia and the CIS (bbabo.net) - During the implementation of the "Action Plan aimed at harmonizing interethnic and ethno-confessional relations, as well as preventing ethnic and religious extremism for 2022 on the territory of the Neftekumsky urban district of the Stavropol Territory", March 12, 2022 in the village Ozek-Suat held a meeting of representatives of the administration of the Neftekumsk urban district, employees of the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Neftekumsk urban district, representatives of the clergy with the residents of Ozek-Suat.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Mufti of the Stavropol Territory Esenov Faizrakhman Yamukhambetovich; Deputy Head of the Department for Public Security, Interethnic Relations and Civil Defense of the Administration of the Neftekumsk City District Borzykh Vitaly Vladimirovich; district police officer of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Neftekumsky urban district of the Stavropol Territory, police major Lazarev Dmitry Yuryevich and the head of the religious organization of Muslims in the village of Ozek, Suat Abdalov Abdul-Aziz Zelimkhanovich. The event was also attended by residents of the village.

During the meeting, issues of organizing close interaction between representatives of the clergy, national diasporas and public organizations with state authorities, law enforcement agencies, and preventing the manifestation of extremism in the Neftekumsky urban district of the Stavropol Territory were considered.

In his speech, Esenov F.Ya. noted the importance of holding meetings between representatives of state authorities and Muslim organizations with residents of settlements.

“The holding of such events gives positive dynamics in solving the issues of prevention of conflicts on interethnic and interfaith grounds,” he noted.

Borzykh V.V. told the residents present at the meeting about monitoring the number of offenses among young people in the Neftekumsk urban district, about the completed and planned activities to strengthen interethnic interfaith interaction.

He called on the residents present at the meeting to participate in activities aimed at countering the ideology of extremism, the preservation and dissemination of traditional ethno-cultural and spiritual values, and pay special attention to working with young people.

The meeting was held in the form of an ongoing dialogue between parishioners and invited guests.

The participants expressed their proposals for resolving issues that arise in the process of interaction between citizens and law enforcement agencies, public and religious organizations.

Summing up the results of the meeting, all participants came to a decision on interaction and cooperation.
