Russia expects signing of documents on Pakistan Stream soon

Russia and the CIS (bbabo.net) - The government of the Russian Federation expects to soon sign a shareholder agreement for the implementation of the Pakistan Stream gas pipeline project, which is the main joint energy project between Russia and Pakistan.

According to Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov, the Pakistani government may soon sign an agreement to promote the project, as well as a shareholder agreement.

Earlier, the Russian minister held talks with Pakistani Ambassador Shafkat Ali Khan, discussing with him joint projects of the two countries in the energy sector.

The 1,100 km long Pakistani Stream gas pipeline, originally named North-South, will link liquefied natural gas (LNG) infrastructure in Gwadar and Karachi with power plants and industrial gas plants in Kasur district (Punjab) at north of the country.
