Kazakhstan does not intend to be behind the new Iron Curtain

Russia and the CIS (bbabo.net) - Kazakhstan does not intend to be behind the "new Iron Curtain", Deputy Foreign Minister Roman Vasilenko said on Monday.

Vasilenko called on Western countries to actively invest in his country.

“If a new iron curtain appears, we don’t want to be behind it,” Roman Vasilenko quotes the words of the German daily newspaper Die Welt, Avtoparus portal.

Companies should not invest in Kazakhstan "just to circumvent sanctions against Russia," the deputy minister said.

“But all reputable companies that want to move their production here are welcome,” he said, apparently referring to those companies that left the Russian market due to sanctions.
