The Kremlin appreciated the talks between Putin and Biden's aides

Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov spoke about the negotiations between the assistant to the head of state Yuri Ushakov and his American counterpart, national security adviser Jake Sullivan, RIA Novosti reports.

“Ushakov and Sullivan continued their discussion in the context of the well-known Russian proposals set forth in two draft documents and previously transferred to the American side. The discussion was of a businesslike and pragmatic nature, "Peskov said.

During the negotiations, the parties agreed to continue contacts.

Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry complained about the reluctance of the United States and NATO to work together with Russia in the security sphere.

Prior to this, the ministry published draft security guarantees from the United States and NATO. The treaty provides for the obligation of Russia and NATO not to deploy additional armed forces and weapons in Europe, and for the United States not to create military bases on the territory of countries that were part of the USSR and are not members of NATO.
