Moldova (bbabo.net), - The Bloc of Communists and Socialists will apply to the Constitutional Court with a request to consider the constitutionality of the PAS law regarding the security of the information space. This was announced by the Vice-Chairman of the Parliament Vlad Batryncha.
The PSRM MP said in a broadcast on one of the private TV channels that this will happen as soon as the law is voted in the final reading.
- Because it contradicts not only national norms and the Constitution, but also contradicts the legal standards of the Venice Commission. It contradicts all the norms that were built in the Republic of Moldova thanks to the partnership that we have with the European space, - said the deputy.
The PSRM Executive Secretary reiterated that the law proposed by the PAS is not clear, full of subjectivity and creates prerequisites not only for the closure of inconvenient media, but also threatens the freedom of speech and thought of citizens. According to Batrincha, such a law does nothing more than establish a police regime in the Republic of Moldova.
