Khusnullin presented the President with a plan for the complete restoration of Mariupol

Russia and the CIS (bbabo.net) - It will take three years to fully restore Mariupol, Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin reported during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, RIA Novosti reports.

According to Khusnullin, the developed plan includes the modernization of the airport.

The restoration work, which is actively underway in this large city on the coast of the Sea of Azov, should be the opening of 90 social facilities before the end of this year.

The Deputy Prime Minister also touched upon the further fate of Azovstal. According to him, the authorities are considering the possibility of preserving "part of the jobs without restoring hazardous production."

According to the official, deposits of 40 million tons of waste have been discovered on the territory of the enterprise, which must be eliminated.

In addition, Khusnullin proposed to solve the housing problem of residents of the Donetsk People's Republic, whose houses were destroyed, by issuing special certificates for the purchase of new or repair of existing housing. An example is the situation in Irkutsk, where such documents were issued to citizens affected by the flood.

The head of state approved this proposal, noting that the measure should also be extended to residents of the Lugansk People's Republic.
