In Kaliningrad, QR codes will not be entered on public transport

Russia (bbabo.net) - In the Kaliningrad region, the authorities will not introduce a QR code system for using public transport.

This was stated by the regional governor Anton Alikhanov in an interview with RIA Novosti. When asked if he plans to introduce QR codes in transport in the Kaliningrad region, he replied: "No, and I'm not going to."

The bill on the introduction of QR codes on railway and air transport was submitted to the State Duma, but was withdrawn from consideration in December, according to the Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.

Now in the Kaliningrad region there is a system of QR codes confirming a past illness or vaccination, or PCR tests for visiting shopping centers, catering establishments, cultural leisure and other public places.
