According to the latest data, 44 people died in Gaza, including 15 children. The vast majority of victims are civilians. About 400 people were injured. About 1.5 thousand buildings were completely or partially destroyed. The ceasefire went into effect on Sunday evening.

On the same day, the Palestinian side initiated negotiations with Moscow, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Haniya welcomed the active mediating role of Egypt and Qatar, thanks to which the parties agreed to a ceasefire.

Bogdanov, for his part, welcomed the process of achieving a truce, stressing that "relapses of the Palestinian-Israeli military confrontation" could be avoided after the creation of an independent State of Palestine with East Jerusalem as its capital.
