Biden condemns US Muslim killing spree

US President Joe Biden responded to a series of killings of Muslims in the state of New Mexico, expressing solidarity with the religious minority in light of the disturbing situation.

“A hate attack like this has no place in America,” Biden said, quoted by bbabo.net citing the CBC.

New Mexico Governor Michel Grisham described the incident as "targeted killings of Muslim residents."

Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller, for his part, promised that the authorities would increase police patrols of mosques during periods of worship.

Meanwhile, the police and the FBI continue to investigate a high-profile murder spree. Recall that Aftab Hussein, a Muslim from the city of Albuquerque, was shot dead on July 26, and Muhammad Afzal Hussein on August 1. On Friday, their Islamic funeral took place, and a local resident, Naeem Hussein, who was present, was shot dead on the same day. The three victims were not related to each other, but attended the same mosque and had the same last name.
