Kazan network of halal canteens was certified

Russia and the CIS (bbabo.net) - On August 16, the certificate of certification of Halal "Home Dining" was presented. The Chairman of the Halal Standard Committee of the Spiritual Muslim Spiritual Board of the Republic of Tatarstan Shlyaposhnikov Abbyas Fatihovich presented the certificate of certification to the chief technologist of the Domashnaya Dining room chain Tatiana Gennadievna Biryukova and spoke about the values of the high status of halal. This was reported in the press service of the Committee.

Halal industry is actively developing, especially in the Republic of Tatarstan. With the support of the head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, the Halal lifestyle concept is being implemented, which, in addition to nutrition, includes finance, IT technologies, media, fashion, goods and services.

According to the register of the Halal Standard Committee of the Spiritual Muslim Board of the Republic of Tatarstan, compared to 2020, the number of certified halal catering outlets has increased by 28%, which once again proves the demand for halal food among the population.

“In Kazan, 400 catering points position themselves as “halal”, and only 68 have documented this status. Naturally, the absence of a certificate from the institution does not inspire confidence. For example, on Friday we visited a bakery that calls itself "halal". Our specialist revealed that the brushes used to coat the pastries are made of pig bristles, which is unacceptable in the work of a halal establishment,” said Abbyas Shlyaposhnikov.

Domashnaya Dining Room is the only halal dining room in Kazan. The committee has been cooperating with the company since 2018. The chain of canteens is a discounter and an adherent of high quality. All 10 points of the network have been Halal certified and strictly comply with Islamic standards.

“Our network appeared five years ago. Initially, we tried to buy halal products and it was very difficult to find suppliers. Today there are more of them. Suppliers began to appear in neighboring regions. When we started to get certified, it was not easy at first to implement all the Halal standards. Many questions arose. The employees of the Committee taught us everything, told us everything. Now there are no problems at all. For visitors, Halal is a sign of quality, and the flow of guests is constantly increasing. Even tourist groups are looking for exactly halal establishments,” shared Tatiana Biryukova, chief technologist of the Home Dining chain.

In addition to its main activities, Home Dining is engaged in charity: every evening, ready-made meals are donated to a charitable organization, which in turn distributes food to those in need.

To date, there are 172 enterprises in the register of the Committee that produce products according to the halal standard, among them there are 68 public catering outlets.
