The ceremony was attended by the chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko via video-conference call, who kept the progress of the repair work under her personal control. On her behalf, 249 million rubles were allocated for the reconstruction of the building. In addition, a modern tomograph was purchased and installed - 40 million rubles were allocated from the regional budget for it. Another 44 million went to purchase furniture. The Russian Ministry of Health allocated 64 million rubles for the purchase of equipment.
- I congratulate you on a significant event - the complete reconstruction of the hospital in Tynda has been completed. And now we are confident that all residents of the city will receive high-quality medical care, preserve and take care of their health, ”Valentina Matvienko addressed via teleconference.
The renovated medical facility has 200 round-the-clock hospital beds and a trauma center. Medical aid will be provided not only to residents of Tynda, but also to patients from Tyndinsky, Zeisky and Skovorodinsky districts, as well as Yakutia. The head physician of the hospital Andrei Kozlov stressed that in terms of conditions for patients and doctors, in terms of equipment, the institution is now practically not inferior to hospitals at the regional level.
The building was built in 1980. In 2016, he was transferred to the city hospital. It has not been renovated for a long time, and some premises have been mothballed. Everything changed after the speech in the Federation Council of the legendary BAM veteran Hero of Socialist Labor Ivan Varshavsky. It was he who, in 2019, during a speech from the rostrum of the Federation Council, drew attention to Tynda's problems, including the state of the surgical corps. The renowned citizen of Tyndin was satisfied with the results of the work.

Governor of the Amur Region Vasily Orlov recalled that in a few years, in 2024, BAM will celebrate its 50th anniversary. By this time, the northern capital of the Amur Region, whose appearance has recently been changing for the better, will be even more transformed.
