Unusual coffee house attracts Turkish women from all over the country

When a 55-year-old resident of the Turkish province of Elazig inherited her father's rural coffee shop, she changed it so that people began to come from other cities to visit it. And what is most surprising, the new mistress did practically nothing new, she simply forbade men to visit her cafe.

“My father had five children and supported the family thanks to this coffee shop. After his death, she passed to me, and I wanted to change something. For many years, the main visitors to the coffee shop were men, and I made it a purely feminine space. No men, no worries. We women are happy to get together,” says the hostess Ayse Güney.

“We play games, dance and have a great time while our husbands socialize in neighborhood establishments. Everyone is happy with this,” says Burchin Kintar, a regular visitor to the cafe.

Another client - Duman Gezgin - went to a coffee shop from another city, from Antalya, which is located 700 km to the south. She had never seen such establishments in her area and came to see the unusual cafe after reading positive reviews on the Internet. According to the woman, the reviews did not deceive her hopes.

Aishe Güney says that she has many visitors from other cities. Women from Bursa, Istanbul and Ankara came here just to sit and have a cup of coffee. For all of them, this is an amazing thing that they have not seen in their cities.

But the hostess still has one problem. The coffee shop is located in the village of Khal, and it cannot find enough workers to serve the customers.
