Patrushev: events in Central Asia

Russia and the CIS (bbabo.net) - The tragic events that have recently taken place in various CIS countries are the result of the West's efforts to pull off a "color revolution" scenario there, said Nikolai Patrushev, Secretary of the Russian Security Council.

According to him, attempts to impose American-style democracy have affected Belarus, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan (Karakalpakstan).

This, coupled with the situation in Ukraine, where Russia actually opposes NATO expansion, is preparing for an open armed conflict with Moscow, Patrushev added at a meeting of the secretaries of the Security Councils of the SCO states in the capital of Uzbekistan.

Moscow is aware that the Westerners will not give up on hybrid actions, balancing on the brink of war, and will continue expansionist "experiments" around the world. In this regard, Patrushev mentioned the closed blocs created by Washington and its allies in the Asia-Pacific region and directed against the Russian Federation and China.
