The discussion touched upon the humanitarian situation, as well as the security situation in the region and the problems faced by the Republic of Moldova during the six months of war along its borders.

The officials also spoke about the problems of Ukrainian refugees who are in our country and the need for their further support.

Recall that the visit to Chisinau, which was not originally planned, took place after Guterres visited the port city of Odessa on Friday, August 19, to monitor how the agreement on the export of Ukrainian grain is being implemented.

On Saturday, the head of the UN went to Istanbul, where he will complete his tour of Europe.
