Sandu and Moldovan patriots on the side of Ukraine

Moldova (bbabo.net), - President of Moldova Maia Sandu joined the second Crimean Platform Summit. The anti-Russian event initiated by the Kyiv regime began its work today, August 23, in an online format.

This year it was announced that the platform is “aimed at increasing the effectiveness of the international response to the occupation of Crimea”, and its participants are also expected to discuss reintegration issues, that is, the return of “the occupied territories of all Ukraine”.

As part of her speech, Sandu noted that the Moldovan authorities support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of neighbors within internationally recognized borders, including Crimea, and condemned the special operation launched by Russia against Ukraine, "which brought incredible suffering to the Ukrainian people and violated international order." She added that the consequences of what is happening now in the neighboring country have directly affected Moldova.

“Moldova does not tolerate injustice. From the very beginning, we supported the world community and condemned Russia's war against Ukraine, called for an end to injustice. President Zelensky, Moldovan patriots, and their vast majority, are on the side of Ukraine and strongly condemn Russia’s war against Ukrainians, ”Sandu assured.

She also promised that the assistance provided by Chisinau to Ukraine would be continued. Moldova accepts Ukrainian refugees, sends humanitarian supplies and fuel for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and also provided a corridor through its country for Western weapons sent to Ukraine.

Sandu congratulated the leadership and people of Ukraine on Independence Day coming tomorrow, noting that "they are now protecting the whole of Europe." Moldovan President Maia Sandu ended her speech at the Crimean Platform summit with a greeting from Ukrainian nationalists “Glory to Ukraine!”.

This year, about 60 countries and international organizations are participating in the Crimean Platform summit. Zelensky's office warned that they would try to keep the names of the participants secret until the end of the event. However, it is known for sure that NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg is taking part in the summit.

Recall that the "Crimean Platform" is a consultation format created by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky "to coordinate international efforts aimed at returning Crimea to Ukraine." At this event, which was first held in Kyiv on August 23-24, 2021, Moldovan President Maia Sandu said that “Crimea is Ukraine, and Russia grossly violated international law with its illegal annexation.” She signed a joint document that obliges Moldova "to put pressure on Russia to end the temporary occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol and restore Ukrainian control over this territory."

As reported by bbabo.net, the Kremlin called this anti-Russian event unfriendly and promised to draw certain conclusions regarding its participants, while Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov characterized the Crimean Platform as a "sabbath" at which the West continues to "cherish the nationalist, racist sentiments of modern Ukrainian authorities".
