Minsk and Moscow discussed future energy prices

Belarus (bbabo.net), - The Prime Ministers of Belarussia Roman Golovchenko and Mikhail Mishustin discussed energy prices for 2023. This was announced today, July 26, in the press service of the Belarusian government.

“Of course, we also discussed approaches to setting energy prices for the next year. The results of the negotiations on these issues were quite successful. We will commercially finalize them in the near future,” Golovchenko said following a meeting with his Russian counterpart in Cholpon-Ata (Kyrgyzstan) as part of a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.

According to him, "we are moving at a good pace, we are fulfilling our obligations."

“Out of more than 900 events, almost 50% have already been completed. There are practically no facts of missed deadlines,” the Belarusian prime minister noted and added that only for some programs there are shifts in time, which are caused by a large scale of work, specifying that this also applies to digital platforms, where it took more time to develop.

Golovchenko also said that the parties discussed the implementation of the instructions of the presidents in a number of areas, in particular, on cooperation in the field of microelectronics. The Belarusian prime minister noted that the Agreement on joint work on the development of both microelectronic component base and electronic engineering is at the final stage. The agreement on a common industrial policy is also at the final stage.

“The agreement on expanding the use of Russian ports for the transportation of Belarusian cargo is also in the final stage of readiness. That is, we get guaranteed carrying capacity through the territory of the Russian Federation and southern ports. Everything has been decided on the northern ports, now we are expanding to the south. This is very important, because the cargo capacity is high, you need to stake out your place,” he said.

In addition, the prime ministers of the two countries discussed all the details of joint import-substituting projects with a funding volume of $1.5 billion. They also discussed the implementation of allied programs.

Recall that Belarus buys gas from Russia for $ 128.5 per thousand cubic meters. Since spring, payments between countries have been made in Russian rubles.
