Ukraine (bbabo.net) - The United States will continue to meet Ukraine's "immediate and long-term" needs, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said today, Sept. 1, The Associated Press reported.
The Joe Biden administration pointed to the amount of financial assistance "in the field of security" allocated to the Kyiv regime - about $ 13.5 billion, calling it an "unprecedented amount."
“Aid that was announced as recently as last week will begin to arrive in the coming months and will continue for years to come,” a White House spokeswoman said. “It is designed to support Ukraine’s defense potential in the long term.”
“We will continue to meet both the immediate and long-term needs (of Ukraine),” Jean-Pierre added.
As previously reported, US assistance to Kyiv includes, among other things, more than 1,400 Stinger man-portable air defense systems (MANPADS), over 6,500 Javelin anti-tank systems and more than 700 Switchblade drones (tactical loitering munitions). The US also supplied more than 120 155mm howitzers and 411,000 155mm artillery shells. Washington focuses particular attention on the transfer of multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) HIMARS to the Kyiv regime.
