“On September 2, 2022, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Vladimir Makei met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Belarus Boris Gryzlov,” the message says.

It is noted that "during the meeting, topical issues of Belarusian-Russian cooperation and interaction within the framework of integration associations were also touched upon."

Recall that Minsk and Moscow intend to expand bilateral cooperation against the backdrop of Western sanctions. At the end of August, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko, meeting with his Russian counterpart Mikhail Mishustin, said that the countries had increased the volume of bilateral trade and carried out the necessary operations to convert mutual settlements into Russian rubles.
