The Japanese company Hino Motors refused to build a plant in Russia

Asia (bbabo.net), - Japanese truck manufacturer Hino Motors refused to build a plant in Khimki near Moscow. This was announced on Saturday, September 3 by the NHK TV channel, citing company sources.

It is noted that such a decision was made due to tax problems. The company also stressed that delays in the construction schedule prevented the creation of an enterprise.

The fact that the production of Japanese Hino Motors trucks will open in Khimki became known in 2017. It was planned that the plant will be opened in 2019 and will produce about 2 thousand cars annually.

On August 3, 2022, it was reported that the Japanese authorities began checking the largest division of the Toyota Motor concern, Hino Motors, for falsifying data on emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere by cars of this brand. Company President Satoshi Ogiso said that he announced the recall of almost 68 thousand produced trucks and buses of the brand.

As a result, Toyota excluded Hino, a commercial vehicle subsidiary, from a future electric vehicle partnership.
