Asia (bbabo.net), - The United States is considering transferring fifty military aircraft and helicopters to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in exchange for help in the fight against terrorists in Afghanistan, Politico reported.

“The plan is to hand over a number of aircraft to the governments of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in exchange for an informal agreement to deepen our security relations in terms of border protection and counterterrorism,” the publication said, citing an unnamed official. 4

According to Politico, the Taliban are demanding that Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan return light attack aircraft and helicopters that the United States supplied to the ousted Afghan government.
