Guterres expressed hope that the parties will observe the ceasefire, the UN press service said.

“The Secretary General met with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov to discuss cooperation between Azerbaijan and the UN. They exchanged views on the events on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The Secretary General expressed his hope that the ceasefire would be respected and stressed that the UN supported all efforts to defuse tensions between the two countries,” the message says.
