“You live like cattle”: Ukrainians began to massively strike at factories in Poland

Ukraine (bbabo.net), - In Poland, Ukrainian workers started mass strikes, complaining about the "discriminatory approach" of employers.

In particular, the Ukrainians were on strike at a factory for the production of Christmas decorations in the Polish city of Gliwice (formerly German Gleiwitz). According to one of the workers named Roman, quoted by ctrana.media, the employer calculates money from Ukrainians for a lunch break, while such “sanctions” were not applied to Polish workers.

“People were outraged by the discriminatory approach on the part of the administration,” Roman said. - Just now a wave of orders has begun, the enterprise is working at full capacity, there are a lot of our hard workers there. Therefore, the leadership gave in and issued an order for the full payment of the working day, including the break. ”

The Ukrainian clarified that you need to work 10 hours a day, but many of his compatriots choose 15-hour shifts to earn more.

“If you work less, you won’t earn much - for bread and water,” the source of the publication complains.

The portal also quotes a certain Galina, who works at a factory near Wroclaw (former German Breslau):

“You live just like cattle - in a room for four you only have a bed, and you don’t get here often. Day plowed, spent the night - and back to work. Enough money just to survive. Many do not even dream of moving to a rented apartment.”

However, themselves report "positive relations" with Ukrainian migrant workers. Thus, Marta Roevskaya, an expert on career issues at the research company InterviewMe, said the other day:

“The InterviewMe survey shows that the Poles have a rather positive attitude towards Ukrainian employees and are not against working together. We are also glad that we often develop close relations with people of Ukrainian origin rather than enter into conflicts.”

On the other hand, the expert notes, the Poles are categorically against additional assistance to workers from the eastern border.

“So it is clearly seen that our compatriots accept foreigners on the labor market, but on the condition that they function on the same conditions as the Poles,” summed up Roevskaya.
