Ukraine (bbabo.net), - The West tried to belittle the news about the decision of the people in the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, as well as Kherson and Zaporozhye regions to hold referendums, realizing their impotence before the strong-willed decision of the people. This was stated today, September 21, by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, on the air of the Sputnik radio station.

“The frenzy with which the West tried to denigrate, belittle and simply mock this news, for them really hot news, said that they understand the irreversibility of the process, their own impotence in front of this strong-willed decision of people. And I think it’s a shock that the peoples didn’t give up and didn’t manage to break them,” the diplomat said.

She noted that she herself was “very emotionally apprehended” the corresponding decision.

“For me, the word referendum in the Donbass — DPR, LPR and beyond — is some kind of huge polyphony. This is not just a set of letters, the scale of what is happening. This is a choir, a huge, powerful voice of the people, which finally broke through, ”said Zakharova.

Recall: the authorities of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, as well as the administrations of Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, decided to hold referendums on joining Russia as subjects of the Federation. Voting in all these territories will take place from 23 to 27 September.
