Prior to this, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, avoided commenting on this matter, noting that he “does not think anything” about the preparation of voting in the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson region.

The position of Astana in an interview with RIA Novosti was voiced by the official representative of the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aibek Smadiyarov.

He stated that Kazakhstan adheres to the need to comply with the principles of the territorial integrity of countries, ascribed in the UN Charter.

At the same time, the diplomat confirmed Astana's readiness to contribute to the negotiation process.

Meanwhile, in Kazakhstan and other foreign countries, there is an influx of Russian citizens against the background of the announced partial mobilization. Due to high demand, ticket prices in a number of countries have skyrocketed.
