In Lithuania, they are afraid to remain unarmed in case of further deliveries of the Armed Forces

Ukraine (bbabo.net), - In the event of the transfer of German-made Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled howitzers to Ukraine, the Lithuanian armed forces will face problems - since there will be nothing to replace the transferred weapons. Kestutis Budris, adviser to the President of the Baltic Republic on national security issues, stated this on the air of Zhinyu Radias, writes RuBaltic.ru.

“We assess this issue from the position that we cannot be left without weapons that are necessary to fulfill our collective security obligations to NATO,” Budrys explained.

According to him, in addition to the responsibility to its own inhabitants to ensure their security, Lithuania has obligations for regional defense within the framework of the North Atlantic Alliance. “Our Iron Wolf mechanized brigade is subordinate to the high command and cannot be left without artillery to carry out its tasks,” the adviser said.

The day before, Vilnius handed over 50 M113 armored personnel carriers to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Lithuanian Defense Minister Arvydas Anusauskas said that further military supplies to Kyiv must be coordinated with NATO partners.
