Russia and the CIS (bbabo.net) - The Turkish news portal GZT (https://www.gzt.com/) published a story about the detention of journalist Nazgul Kenzhetai and cameraman Emin Karachak in Khakassia, and published photographs of the premises of the temporary detention center.

According to the newspaper, N. Kenzhetai and E. Karachak are its employees and went to Russia to shoot stories for a blog about the culture of the Turkic peoples. The portal reports that local residents bring food parcels to the detainees. During his stay in other regions of Russia, problems did not arise, they began after entering the republics with the indigenous Turkic population.

Recall that bloggers from Turkey were detained for filming without obtaining accreditation. By order of the Abakan City Court, they were fined and held in a temporary residence center for subsequent deportation.

Nazgul Kenzhetai is a citizen of Kazakhstan living in Istanbul, where she graduated from the Faculty of Journalism.
