The decision to join Ukraine to NATO was supported by 8 countries out of 30

Ukraine (bbabo.net), - Eight of the 30 NATO members supported Kyiv's desire to join the North Atlantic Alliance. This was announced today, October 2, by the President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis.

He and seven other presidents of NATO member states from Central and Eastern Europe signed a corresponding joint statement, which is posted on the website of the presidential administration. We are talking about the presidents of Lithuania, Poland, North Macedonia, Slovakia, Montenegro, the Czech Republic and Estonia.

"We strongly support the decision of the 2008 NATO summit in Bucharest on the future accession of Ukraine," the document says.

All the heads of the mentioned states expressed support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and also stated that they did not recognize the referendums in the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
