Ukraine (bbabo.net), - In the coming months, tens of thousands of new Jewish repatriates from Russia and Ukraine will arrive in Israel. This was announced today, October 2, by Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid at a weekly government meeting.

“We expect tens of thousands of new immigrants in the coming months. We are preparing for this and welcome it,” the prime minister said.

Lapid explained that the government is preparing a new aid package for returnees:

"Following recent developments in Russia and Ukraine, Finance Minister Avigdor Lieberman and Repatriation and Integration Minister Pnina Tamano-Château will present today a decision to allocate an additional NIS 90 million ($25.3 million) for the integration of immigrants."

Immediately after the government meeting, a meeting of a special commission will be held to prepare for a new wave of mass repatriation of Jews to Israel.
