Ukraine (bbabo.net), - On October 3, the State Duma ratified the treaties on the admission of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions to Russia. Draft laws on ratification were submitted to the State Duma by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to the documents, the boundaries of the territories of the DPR, LPR of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions are determined by the borders on the day of their formation and they were accepted into Russia. At the same time, the borders of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, adjacent to the territory of a foreign state, are the state borders of Russia.

From the date of admission of new subjects to the Russian Federation, citizens of Ukraine and stateless persons permanently residing on that day in the territory of the subjects are recognized as citizens of Russia, with the exception of persons who, within one month after this day, declare their desire to keep their existing and (or) their minor children have another citizenship or remain stateless.

The state language of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions is, according to the law, Russian. At the same time, the Russian Federation guarantees the right to preserve their native language and create conditions for its study and development for all peoples living on the territory of the new subjects.

Legislative and other normative legal acts of the Russian Federation, according to the agreement, are valid on the territory of new subjects from they are accepted into Russia, unless otherwise provided by the legislation of the Russian Federation.

The President of Russia, within 10 days from the date of admission of new entities to Russia, appoints temporary acting senior officials. In the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, they will be called governors, and in the Donetsk and Lugansk people's republics - the heads of the republics. Regional governments are formed as acting heads of new entities.

Elections to the legislative bodies of the new constituent entities of the Russian Federation will be held on the second Sunday of September 2023.
