According to the resource, the first stage of selection of potential Hong Kong astronauts will be held from 6 to 27 October. Among the prerequisites for participation in the competition are patriotism, support for the policy of "one country - two systems", permanent residence in Hong Kong, perfect command of the Chinese language and no criminal record. In this case, the advantage is given to workers in the space industry.

“Thus, anyone who meets the stated standards has the opportunity to take part in a nationwide space exploration program,” the publication writes.

After the completion of the Hong Kong stage of selection, the relevant lists will be submitted for consideration to the central authorities of the space industry in China.
