The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia to the Ambassador of Ukraine: “Where were you in 1999?”

Ukraine (bbabo.net), - Serbian Interior Minister Aleksander Vulin said that he did not remember Ukraine demanding an extraordinary meeting of the UN Security Council or the imposition of sanctions against aggressor countries in 1999 during the NATO bombing of Yugoslavia.

“As a result of NATO bombing, dozens of Serbian boys and girls were killed. I can’t remember Ukraine’s request to hold an extraordinary meeting of the UN Security Council or to impose sanctions against the aggressors who attacked Serbia,” Vulin replied to the Ukrainian ambassador in Belgrade, who said that it was difficult for Kyiv to understand why Serbia did not impose sanctions on Russia.

Oleksandr Vulin added that it is not too late for Ukraine and all countries seeking trial for war crimes in the Ukrainian-Russian conflict to demand that the killers of Serbian children during the NATO aggression be brought to justice. The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia noted that this is an opportunity to show integrity, because war crimes have no statute of limitations.

Earlier, Ukrainian Ambassador to Belgrade Volodymyr Tolkach made a statement that with every killed Ukrainian soldier and child, it is becoming increasingly difficult for Kyiv to understand Serbia’s decision not to impose sanctions against Russia and the arguments that Belgrade cites in connection with this.
