Moldova (bbabo.net) - Gazprom warned that Moldova had created all the conditions for the company to cut off gas supplies, from defaulting on payment deadlines to failing to reach an agreement to settle historical debts. Therefore, any requests from the Moldovan side, involving changes in contractual conditions, will be made out only in the form of appropriate additions to the contract.

PJSC Gazprom reserves all its rights, including the right to completely stop supplies in case of violation of the obligation to pay for gas until October 20, 2022, as well as the right to terminate the contract at any time due to a gross violation terms for concluding an agreement on the settlement of the historical debt of JSC "Moldovagaz". In the future, any requests from the Moldovan side, involving changes in contract terms, will be made out only in the form of appropriate additions to the contract,” Gazprom said.

The company explained that during 2022 Moldovagaz regularly violated the terms of the contract on the payment deadline for the supplied gas, and also repeatedly applied to Gazprom for mitigation of contractual obligations in terms of supply volumes.

Gazprom has always been sympathetic to the requests of the Moldovan side, confirming its focus on long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation, and regularly satisfied these requests of the Moldovan side,” the company continued, explaining the reduced gas supplies in October.

“As previously noted, NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine refuses to provide Gazprom with a gas transportation service in full (through the Sohranivka point). For this reason, in October 2022 PJSC Gazprom has the opportunity to supply gas to Moldova only in the amount of 5.7 million cubic meters. m per day," the statement said.
