Ukraine continues to curtail remaining ties with Belarus

Belarus (bbabo.net), - The government of Ukraine has approved a bill to terminate the agreement with Belarus on the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of tax evasion with respect to taxes on income and property. This was reported on October 4 in the press service of the Ukrainian Cabinet.

Officially, they want to break the agreement in order to accelerate "the curtailment of economic and financial ties with the Republic of Belarus as an ally of the aggressor country in a full-scale war against Ukraine." According to the authors of the document, the termination of the agreement will not allow "to replenish the budget of Belarus at the expense of taxes of Belarusians who operate in Ukraine", since now "there will be no preferential taxation for them, they will have to pay tax on all income received in the country rate of 15%. In addition, it is noted that "Ukraine's budget will not lose money that it previously did not receive when residents of Ukraine operating in Belarus paid taxes to the Belarusian treasury", as well as the fact that "Ukraine will get rid of obligations to exchange information with Belarus on tax matters. Now the bill must be adopted in the Verkhovna Rada.

Recall that the Agreement on the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of tax evasion with respect to taxes on income and property between Ukraine and Belarus has been in force since 1994. Earlier, Kyiv tore up several important bilateral agreements, considering Minsk accomplices of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine. In addition, Kyiv confiscated Belarusian property, which it could find and identify.
