Russian couple expelled from Kazakhstan

Asia (bbabo.net), - A 71-year-old man and a 69-year-old woman, who are spouses and have Russian passports, were expelled from Kazakhstan for violating the republic's legislation on citizenship. This was announced today, October 6, by newtimes.kz.

As the agency was told in the Department of Police on Transport, administrative materials were drawn up against the spouses under the article “Failure to report the fact of acquiring foreign citizenship within the time limits established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan” of the Code of Administrative Offenses.

“By the decision of the specialized inter-district court for administrative offenses in Almaty, offenders were held liable in the form of deportation from the Republic of Kazakhstan with a ban on entry into the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan for a period of 5 years,” the police explained.

Since the beginning of the year, only 986 citizens have been brought to administrative responsibility for violating the legislation of Kazakhstan in the field of migration, including 38 citizens with dual citizenship. By court decisions, 155 foreigners were expelled from Kazakhstan.
