Asia (bbabo.net), - The State Development Bank of China (GBDB) is ready to issue loans totaling 130.8 billion yuan ($18.42 billion) for key green building projects. This was reported today, October 6, by Xinhua news agency.

According to the agency, such projects include the creation of a national reserve forest in regions along the economic belt of the Yangtze River.

The loans will be allocated to establish 2.13 million hectares of afforestation with full coverage of all provincial-level administrative divisions in the river basin.

It is expected that this will ensure an annual increase in the country's forest fund by 21.33 million cubic meters, which will be able to absorb 38.4 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions per year.

According to the bank, the loan term can be up to 40 years.
