Belarus (bbabo.net), - There will be no shortage of goods in Belarus. This was announced today, on October 6, by Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting with the economic bloc of the government.
According to him, on the shelves of domestic stores there should be goods of good quality, in a wide range and at fair prices.
“We have not had a trade deficit and will not have it. I guarantee this to people. And for the prices you will answer everything with your head and others like you, ”he addressed the meeting participants.
In this regard, he asked the responsible persons to report on the situation in retail, the state of affairs with prices in the consumer market.
“Causes of high inflation? What needs to be done to contain further price increases and protect people and their incomes. From the government and the National Bank - specific reporting reports: measures to stabilize prices, especially for Belarusian goods, by which you can trace the entire chain from raw materials to the price tag on the trading shelf. How is it proposed to control the prices of imported goods and the work of trade?” the Belarusian leader said.
In addition, Lukashenka was indignant at the practice of raising prices under the guise of new goods, bypassing anti-inflationary legislation. According to him, this happens when, for example, a product already known to buyers appears on the shelves, but with some minor addition and at a higher price.
“You see, there was bread, chicken, chicken - a new product appeared! And people are forced to buy the same products, but for some reason at a higher price. What have we come to!.. And what, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Deputy Prime Minister and Trade do not see this?” Lukashenka asked.
The head of Belarus also demanded effective measures from all responsible persons: the ministries of trade, agriculture and food, the leadership of the regions, the State Control Committee, trade unions, and deputies.
“On the shelves there should be goods of good quality, in a wide range and at fair prices. And the so-called new products, if they exist, should differ from the old ones in their consumer qualities,” the Belarusian leader stressed.
Recall that the President of Belarus has repeatedly warned his subordinates that he will not tolerate unreasonable price increases and shortages of goods in the country. According to him, one of the main tasks of the country's leadership is to feed people.
