Russia (bbabo.net) - The Russian Embassy in Washington has urged the United States not to blame Russia for rising tensions between the two countries after US State Department spokesman Ned Price said via Twitter a day earlier that Russia was responsible for the escalation of tensions and the states that support it, not Ukraine or the United States.

The Russian Embassy urged the State Department "not to dump a sore head on a healthy one."

As the diplomatic mission notes in a post on Twitter, "for de-escalation, the United States should not have created an anti-Russian military foothold on the borders of our country, but ... undertake obligations to exclude further expansion of NATO to the east, and refuse to admit former USSR states into the alliance."
