Shipments of personal computers fell worldwide due to lower demand

Asia (bbabo.net), - Deliveries of personal computers (PCs) around the world fell year for the three quarters of this year. According to data posted on the website of the American research company in the field of information technology and telecommunications International Data Corporation (IDC), shipments of personal computers fell due to a decrease in demand worldwide by 15% year-on-year to 74.252 million units.

The Chinese company Lenovo has maintained its global leadership in the line of personal computers. In the three months to the end of September, the Chinese manufacturer shipped 16.88 million personal computers, gaining a 22.7% share of the global market. Its market share was higher in the third quarter of last year at 23.1% with a shipment of 20.12 million units.

There were no changes in the second and third places. HP shipped 12.71 million PCs with a 17.1% share, down from 20.2% in the third quarter last year.

The third place in the list was occupied by 11.96 million Dell Technologies PCs which market share made 16.1% that is lower by 17.4%, than the previous year.

Fourth on the list, Apple shipped 10.060 million PCs, up from 7.17 million in the third quarter last year, and its market share jumped from 8.2% to 13.5%.

Fifth place was taken by ASUS with the supply of 5.54 million personal computers, its market share increased from 6.9% in the third quarter of last year to 7.5%.
