Belarus (bbabo.net), - Only the leaders of Belarus and Tajikistan are ready to defend security in the country with weapons in their hands. This was announced today, on October 12, by Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting with the chairman of the House of Representatives of the Majlisi Oli of Tajikistan, Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda.
“Our peoples are similar to each other. I would even say that they are no different from each other: they are kind, hardworking, talented people. And in this regard, we have some success in our relations,” he said.
According to him, he has known Tajik President Emomali Rahmon for more than a quarter of a century.
“This path has not been easy for us. But last night I told him: “We have lived together for so long, but I don’t remember that we ever spoke sharply, cursed, or even argued.” We have always had a unified position on all issues. We have always supported each other. It's not because we're friends. Because we think exactly the same in this regard. For me, he has always been an example of serving his Motherland, a selfless person,” the Belarusian leader said.
At the same time, Lukashenka noted that only the leaders of Belarus and Tajikistan are ready to show determination and defend the sovereignty and security in the country with weapons in their hands. According to him, this is not just a statement, since he himself had to take a machine gun in 2020, and Emomali Rahmon "fought for Tajikistan at the dawn of the formation of modern statehood."
“And being a wounded man, here he is unbending. A real representative of the Tajik people. Therefore, he has always been a model of devotion and reliability for me. That is why we have developed such good relations based on the similarities between the Belarusian and Tajik peoples,” the President of Belarus summed up.
In turn, Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda said that the people of Tajikistan know the Belarusian leader as a wise politician and appreciate him for his openness.
“In the post-Soviet space, in terms of the spirit of life values, our peoples are the closest. Tajikistan has a reliable friend, strategic partner, like-minded person in the person of Belarus. Tajiks have the warmest, most sincere feelings for Belarusians,” the parliamentarian stressed.
Recall that Alexander Lukashenko is on an official visit to Tajikistan. Earlier, the Belarusian leader met with the head of this republic.
