Ukraine, Conflict in Donbass (bbabo.net), - The agricultural sector of the Donetsk People's Republic is actively sowing winter crops - this autumn, these crops have already been planted on 90 thousand hectares of farmland.

This was announced on October 13 at a meeting with the chairman of the republican government by the Minister of Agro-Industrial Policy and Food of the DPR Artem Kramarenko.

“The sowing of winter crops for the 2023 harvest has almost reached the equator. 90,000 hectares have been sown, which is 58% more than the area sown with winter crops as of the same date in 2021,” the DAN agency quotes him as saying.

The head of the department added that the preparation of seed material for winter crops for sowing is coming to an end in the Republic - by now, state inspection specialists have checked 45,000 tons of seeds.

The leadership of the Ministry of Agrarian Industry also reported that harvesting of walnuts and almonds has also begun in the south of the DPR. The garden with an area of ​​141 hectares is located in Pershotravnevy district.

This year it is planned to produce more than 3 tons of almonds and about 5 tons of walnuts. It is specified that almonds of Victoria, Primorsky, Dessertny, Foros, Nantarel and Ayan varieties grow in the garden, walnuts - Chandler, pollinators Fernor and Fernetti.

In the pro-Russian areas of Donbass, the process of restoring civilian infrastructure continues. According to the Ministry of Energy of the DPR, the number of settlements connected to the centralized power supply has approached one hundred.
