Lukashenko advised the West not to tease Russia

Belarus (, - Western countries should not try to "drive Russia into a corner", crossing Russian red lines would be a mistake and leave Moscow with only one way out - to move forward. This was stated by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in an interview with the American television company NBC.

According to the Belarusian leader, the Russian side is not interested in a nuclear escalation of the conflict in Ukraine, but in the event of an attack on its territory, Russia can use any type of weapon.

“If, God forbid, there is an attack on the territory of the Russian Federation, Russia can, if necessary, use all types of weapons. If you drive a person or a country into a corner, then there is only one way - forward. Therefore, do not step over the red lines, do not cross them, ”Lukashenko quoted the TV channel as saying.

At the same time, the President of Belarus noted that he knows directly from his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin that "no one aims to use a nuclear weapon."

“If even one state uses nuclear weapons, it will cause a chain reaction. Russia understands this well. And no one, I want to emphasize this, I know this for sure from President Putin himself, no one set out to use nuclear weapons, ”NBC quoted Lukashenka as saying.
