Ukraine (bbabo.net), - Croatian President Zoran Milanovic answered a journalist's question about what he thinks that the European Union has established a military training mission to further support Ukraine and improve the capabilities of the Ukrainian armed forces and that the mission will operate on the territory of states — members of the EU.
“As the commander-in-chief of the Croatian army, I will not approve the training of Ukrainian soldiers in Croatia,” President Milanovic said on October 18 in Zagreb.
“I do not support this idea, because I do not want Croatia to be involved in this war more than it should be. We are fair, we are in solidarity, and that's all. Nothing more,” the head of state said.
He noted that the president does not have a say in what tools Zagreb will donate to Ukraine, this is determined by the government. However, Milanovic added, he only supports the transfer of assets if they are replaced.
According to him, he does not support the "weakening" of the Croatian army. “The defense of Croatia comes first, then nothing for a long time, then NATO and others,” Milanovic said.
