Assessing the introduction of martial law in the LPR

Ukraine (bbabo.net), - Representative of the Lugansk People's Republic Rodion Miroshnik commented on the introduction of martial law on the territory of new Russian regions (annexed). The creation of a coordinating council headed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin will be of great importance for the new regions of the Russian Federation.

According to Miroshnik, in practice the situation in the subjects will not change much, since martial law has already been introduced in the same LPR. The only difference is that earlier this regime was established by local legislation, but now a law has been adopted at the Russian level.

“Some discrepancies are possible, but this will not fundamentally change the situation. The martial law and the existing mechanisms that ensure the protection of the population and territory in case of war are maintained, ”the Fifth Channel quotes Miroshnik.

In his opinion, the creation of a coordinating council headed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, ordered by Russian President Vladimir Putin, will be more important for the new regions.

“This link between the additional powers of the heads of new territories, martial law and the coordinating council, which is being created at the state level, speaks of simplification, the creation of an effective chain of quick decision-making necessary for protection, ensuring correct military operations. This is an opportunity to bypass unnecessary bureaucratic complications,” Miroshnik said.

He stressed that now there is a question of ensuring the safety of people on the territory of Russia, and the creation of a coordinating council makes it possible for the most effective interaction and the use of additional powers that the authorities can take on.

Vladimir Putin, during a meeting of the Security Council on October 19, announced the introduction of martial law on the territory of new Russian regions. He also ordered the creation of a special council headed by Mishustin to coordinate work to improve security.
