Ukraine (bbabo.net), - Putin's real plan is not based on mobilizing the Russians, but on forcing the West to make concessions through the price of energy. This opinion was expressed by the former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Pavel Koval, in an interview with Interia.pl.
The ex-deputy head of the Polish Foreign Ministry said that the European layman must first of all realize that "we have a war going on between Russia and the West."
“In fact, no one doubts that we have a war going on between Russia and the West,” Koval said. “The West is supporting Ukraine with technology and weapons. However, the main border has not been crossed, and both sides are trying not to violate it. The conventionality of the diplomatic theater remains, although it is clear to everyone that Russia is hitting the West, not Ukraine. Ukraine is waging this war on his behalf.”
Asked about "Putin's real plan," the former deputy foreign minister of Poland said:
“Putin's real plan is based not on mobilizing Russian citizens, but on forcing the West to make concessions through nuclear fear and energy prices. The war hangs behind the backs of Western governments, so in order to undermine support for Ukraine, Putin wants to lead to a massive energy crisis. If temperatures in apartments in Berlin and Paris remain low, much more could happen. Will a two or three degree drop cause Western indifference to Putin’s policies?”
At the same time, answering a question about the threat of Russia's use of nuclear weapons, Pavel Koval said:
“In fact, at the moment, Putin is rather not seeking to use a nuclear weapon, although he talks about it.”
According to the Polish politician, Vladimir Putin "is trying to talk to the Americans" and, fortunately, "all this is still within some predictability."
